They should hold mock slave auctions in the market with black people in chains while a big boss white man walks around them with a bull whip and yells "Niggers fer sale"....I think that would be a great tourist attraction.

  • Can't be any good energy in or around this "Market" if Human beings, Gods original Woman & Man of African Roots whom were stolen from their homeland then sold here & enslaved for hundreds of years. It should be called Blood Market & the people who stole & sold them, are nothing but Blood Thirsty Vampires, not humans! Slaves are nothing more than Stolen Africans & the ppl who stole them are none other than human thieves, The biggest Thief is a human Thief...Amen!

  • THE DEVIL IS A LIAR! SLAVES WERE SOLD HERE AND I LIVE HERE! FUCKING EVIL ASS DEVIL ASS BULL SHIT STILL GOING ON RIGHT IN FRON OF UR FACE IN 2011!! BUT YOUR TIME IS UP! GODKINGWAR!!

  • you are an asshole! Slaves sold their goods, huh! They where being sold, I am born and raised in Charleston S.C. and never heard that shit once! Get the fuck out of here!

  • There is no Legend has it... History has it that slaves WERE sold and taken away from their families here. I was born and raised in Charleston S.C. and wish you got your facts straight before making this video.....

  • @leoshia12 by the way I am from charleston sc.

  • I am so offended by this get facts first ,The market came about as a place to trade and sell but slaves werent selling a thing slaves were being sold and that was one of the purposes of the market. And Urashrimpimapimp those people arent homeless they are woman of my gullah heritage and what they are weaving is sweet grass baskets a trade brought to america from africa.

  • I go here about every summer and am going here in a week or so. The market never really appealed to me because all there is is homeless people selling bootleg perfumes and weaving straw hats for $50
