@blakem375 That's pretty true. Honestly, I rather not assign anyone the label as a grunge god. A lot of guys can be considered that. Kurt Cobain is the most famous yes, but Mark Arm from Mudhoney pretty much inspired every grunge band after him. Layne Staley is considered to be one of the greatest singers of all time by his fans. Though Jerry Cantrell wrote most of AIC's songs, the ones he wrote defined what grunge songs are all about, my life sucks, angsty stuff. It's hard to choose really.

@bmoreravens12 I may not know every grunge band, who does? I do have certain likes though; like I really like Screaming Trees.. Even so, If i did know everything about a certain genre of music, then would somebody be telling me that I need to know the history better? Nirvana is one of the top grunge bands ever noticed, so why not consider him the grunge god? (;

@blakem375 No, not at all. I'm glad you have an opinion, and I favor Kurt over Andrew Wood also. All I was saying was you should know the history of grunge and it's frontman before you start naming someone a god. That's all. Didn't mean to sound like that.

@15schwaa Layne Staley died that day too, but about 8 years later. April 5th is the black day for grunge fans.

@blakem375 He was from Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone. I love Nirvana and all, but know the history of Grunge before you start naming who was the god of it.
