Worth saying this is recorded at 15fps in HD 1080p, so is actually a bit faster when not capturing, same reason I'm using mostly CPU instead of GPU, which is *much* faster (you can see in this video that doesn't even get the to show the progress, it just jumps to the clear and almost noise-free result :)

Recorded on an ASUS G53S, Intel i7 2630QM, using nVidia GTX 460M.

  • how hot does your asus g53 get on various use including overload? Ever run cycles on GPU with your gtx 460 m? Does the g53 ever lag?

  • @wickedcrowstudio this Asus G53 have very good cooling, it gets hot but it all goes out from the back, while on the bottom, keyboard, and hand rest it never gets hot.

Cycles runs very well on GPU, is at least 4 or 5x faster than CPU (i7 2630QM).

    Cheers!

  • i downloaded the Cycles+SSE 2 build (should include CUDA because the description tells it) but i can not enable GPU Rendering... any1 know how to ?

  • @mongini1 you must have the latest drivers for your nvidia card (I believe 270.61)

  • @pablovazquezz That is awesome to hear that the 460 gt you have runs cycles. :D How hot does the asus g53 usually get? Does it peak up to 90C heat ever?

  • @mrjazzycharon2 "Violin Concerto in E major, BWV 1042: I. Allegro" von Johann Sebastian Bach

  • @VaugerTexas65964

    is awesome

  • Linux! :D

  • This is beautiful... The rendering for it is just amazing... Too bad it would kill my computer...

  • Will an i7 2760 with an Nvidia GeForce 3GB vid memory be enough to run like this? I'm just worried that the GPU won't function properly. I'm looking into a Dell XPS 17.
