ZZ Top - Heard It On The X

Lyrics:
Do you remember
back in nineteen sixty-six?
Country Jesus, hillbilly blues,
that's where I learned my licks.
Oh, from coast to coast and line to line
in every county there,
I'm talkin' 'bout that outlaw X
that was cuttin' through the air.

Anywhere, y'all,
everywhere, y'all,
I heard it, I heard it,
I heard it on the X.

We can all thank Doctor B
who stepped across the line.
With lots of watts he took control,
the first one of its kind.
So listen to your radio
most each and every night
'cause if you don't I'm sure you won't
get to feeling right.

Anywhere, y'all,
everywhere, y'all,
I heard it, I heard it,
I heard it on the X.

  • Pure energy. Bravisimooo.

  • total recall.........Freshman in high school, in my living room, with friends, baked, cranked Fandango and playing the all impressive "Air Broom".

  • Have Mercy!!!!

  • @MarquisEstelle I recently read an article in Rolling Stone magazine about

how some music professors actually inquire info from Billy Gibbons when

they are preparing curricilum, his opinion is that well respected and taken

    as fact.

  • Great album !

  • Billy, Dusty and Frank still Rock'n

  • @rdoggett78759 This was my first 'rock' album as a kid. I've never still heard anything like this in tonal quality, and as they call it...."Texas Boogie." It's really an eclectic reiterations of Delta Trance in upbeat Texas fashion. Gibbons is an encyclopedia of roots blues, almost a musicologist. Not a single note of their early Boogie style was accidental.

  • good song, great drums by Beard on this one. Randomly came on Sirius Boneyard channel today in the excavator, you know it's a good tune when you go back 6 hours later and download it on Youtube.

    Badass sound.

  • @rdoggett78759 Also home to another of my favorites,Beaumonts own Johnny Winter. And just for the record man your state takes forever to drive through.you dont gotta worry about nobody messin with texas... Its just too fucking big. rock on my friend
