Fine piece of history... But you must realize that it's blown out of proportion(propaganda).
and that you shouldn't make judgments if you don't know the truth.

@blownglasslide You know what? No one has to take your orders to take the discussion elsewhere.

Not the most thoroughly objective documentary ever produced. Still, good viewing.

Very interesting the way the japs are referred to as "the little people'. One would likely get into considerable trouble these days if those kind of terms were used in reference to race today, I think, due to bleeding-heart legislation. The WW2 propaganda element is most interesting from an historical perspective. A good clip.

One...never watch this video on full volume with your month old baby. Stupid fucking ww2 propaganda. And today Made in America is is crap...except Boeing.

japan copies everything, to this day. no innovation of their own. this is a good video. it shows the cruelty of a greedy imperial dictatorship power hungry to invade and kill anyone in their way. monsters. "they look to the skies for everything"... LOL they sure did in 1945 didnt they. and the crap stopped, didnt it. in less than a week, not 10+ years and counting like it takes these days.

@MrCuntPunch It is actually pretty dificult to find any caar actually fully made in the USA. Even back in the 1970s chrysler products were made in canada
While certainly this is a pretty hardcore piece of propaganda, I think bomberguy's intention here was to talk about the airplane, not political stuff. Please kindly take this kind of comment elsewhere. I believe someone has synced an audio file of a Noam Chomsky lecture to scenes from WWII in the Pacific and Viet Nam. That might be more appropriate for your discussion.

Secrecy was taken incredibly seriously at the time. If you look at the wartime newspapers, they're even pretty obscure about major campaigns. Stuff like performance figures was never mentioned. If one life could be saved by secrecy, it was considered worth it.
