The St. Joseph River Bank Stabilization Project on the campus of Sisters of the Holy Cross in Notre Dame, Indiana, is partially funded through a grant provided by the Great Lakes Commission with funds from the United States Department of Agriculture. JFNew was contracted by the Sisters of the Holy Cross to repair and stabilize a severe wash-out area along approximately 80 feet of river bank. A significant amount of sediment loading directly into the river and eventually into Lake Michigan had occurred and would continue to magnify had no action been taken.
