  • Dave, then you have too little faith in humanity than do I. If wars would continue without religion, then why do some people they would end with a world without religion?

  • sorry i mean why do some people say that wars would end without religion in the world?

  • People are sinful, and without religion, the sinful nature of man can only serve to increase. If everyone abandoned the laws of God, they would only be left to set their own standards. We humans are ver self serving, so you can only imagine what selfishness and time would produce. I have answered your question, now please asnwer mine: Why would the world be BETTER without religion? Would the reality of ther situation be as I desribed?

  • First off, thank for your responding to this video.

Now, in reading your reply - one would have to believe in sin to buy the rest of your argument as well as "laws of god." Are humans selfish by nature? Most

  • likely... but I heard some say that without religion there would be no war, an argument I equally believe is wrong. So if its not religion thats the cause but only the excuse of human strife what is the rational reason? Class warfare? Racism? The reason can not be that people are sinners. People are imperfect yes, but sin is a theological concept that is rendered useless by those who are not religious.

  • Ethics does not come from the fact that God has set down laws to obey. People obey laws for other reasons. Look forward to continuing discussion.

  • Human beings will always find a reason to kill each other.

  • Gee, a world where people didn't believe in talking snakes, a little wooden boat capable of holding two of every animal on earth (not to mention their food), men living inside giant fish and bears that eat porridge and sleep in beds? I don't know if I can imagine such a sane world.

  • There will be wars MUCH less but still

there gonna be wars for greediness and differnet culture and political ideology as well

  • Imagine how much less hate there would be without religion. How many wars wouldn't have happened. How many lives could be saved if the churches didn't need $250,000 pipe organs, and $45,000 steeples, or all the money that went into building them went into cancer research, or helping poverty, physically challenged, or poverty?

  • The other day I saw an old man on the side of the road with his hood up. I was in a hurry to get back to work. I stopped and found out he was out of gas, so I ran him to the nearest convenience store, filled my gas jug up, and returned him to his car. I never asked for anything in return, though I saw many cars pass by bearing the fish that represents Jesus. None of them stopped.............. I am an Atheist.

  • CHRIST did NOT come for "religion", HE came for a PEOPLE.

  • Pin Point!!!! 100%

  • Depends on why religion is gone. If religion is gone because people have much higher intelligence and reasoning and logic and science knowledge, then people would be many times more moral. More ethical. And it would be much closer to utopia because people would understand our relation to the cosmos.

In general, the more reasoning and logic I depend on, the incredibly more ethical and willing to help I become.

  • fixeruper, i have been taught love and kindness even before i knew religion existed.

Religion is not a necessary course in human evolution. How can you totally disregard the dinosaurs within the bible? And i am sorry, the word 'behemouth', which is the only possible reference to them, just does not cut it people. How can you spawn millions of people from two people? Is that not a blatant fallacy of religions' laws? Should we all be walking around with 3 eyes?
