Girl Murders Parents After Graduation in 1961

True crime case of 18-year-old Betty Wilson, who shot her parents to death in their sleep, three days after high school graduation in 1961. This film, showing Betty's graduation, was shot just three days before the murders. Betty is the girl with the glasses (strange that every woman in this film wears glasses), posing with her father. She looks relatively sane for someone who went berserk and was declared insane. Vintage 8mm home movie video.

I'm with everyone else who thinks she was being abused. Her father seemed just a little too "friendly" with her and she seemed just a little too nervous around him. In 1961, the police weren't called for domestic problems unless somebody was killed. Any kind of domestic problem was kept "in the family."

After watching several of these so called footage from the 60s with that creepy music...couldn't help thinking: What if they were all shot by a same hired cameraman and he "influenced" one of the family members to go crazy and did those murders?? :O I watched too many horror films lately :(

Even though this murder in a lot of ways is not her fault... At least she got a plea of insanity charge. All of your videos are about psychos and non of them were sent to a mental hospital. P:

For what i saw you theres no way this girl couldve have kill her parents for no reason. This girl was being abuse by her father & her mom let him. Her dad & mom were sick. Obviously thats not an excuse to kill.

Maybe He Messed Around With Her. And The rest of the family turned a blind eye To It.

She was being abused by her father, and her mother did nothing to stop it. She confessed during her stay in the mental hospital. Many news networks have been trying to conduct interviews with her, but her whereabouts are still unknown.
