Belew is wonderful. As far as the Hendrix and Belew comparisons, I always felt that when an artist(as Belew and Hendrix clearly are), their prowess is already a given and it's just a matter of who communicates with you the best.

@davidfinkledrums Not even in the same genus or species... I adore Hendrix, but he'd have had a lot of growing up to do, before he could EVER come close to Belew (or Fripp) in my book... He wasn't even in the same SOLAR system with these guys... C'mon... Thanks for the post btw, I freakin' LOVE Adrian Belew... Adrian doesn't even try to hide how he's been influenced by Jimi Hendrix. I've met Ade a few times. Adrian has gleaned from several including Hendrix, The Beatles and Zappa. He's had a great education with the excellent resume he's compiled. He's also done quite well innovating on his own. He's got toys not available way back when and uses them with regularity. Adrian is a really great guy. If you ever have a chance to meet him, you should.
