  • @KyleMacManus I honestly don't even remember leaving this comment here. I might've been hacked or something. I like this version a lot, actually. I don't spell "know" with an "e", ever and I've never said assretard in my life

  • @Valcarion You're an idiot. He wouldn't do it if he didn't want to. LZ is famous for saying no. What does that even mean? "You don't do that to Zeppelin"? It's a bunch of great musicians reworking a great song. What's not to love?

  • Speaking from a metal hard rock lover.... what a wonderful position Robert Plant is in to were he can do what he wants to do. I mean it is not my favorite composition however.... Led Zepp had heavy rock tone and old blues and yes Blue grass... [tangerine, thats the way] classical black mountain side...[accoustic ] he is working on projects that intrigue him. gotta admit Allison Krauss has a delicious voice.

  • @Valcarion Val, I totally understand your visceral disdain here, but there's a definite need for artists to NOT to try and cover their own songs faithfully as time goes by, especially when playing with a different set of musicians.

This arrangement is valid. Don't forget the LZ III album's intent to infuse Side 2 with an Appalachian flavor... it's organic to Plant's methods to switch-up the arrangement, especially when playing with Alison, a mainstay of the alt.country sub-genre.

  • I absolutely loved the AK/RP record, tour, everything -

But I wasn't too keen on this version of Black Dog. That is, until T Bone (master) came out to jam. Sound engineering is quite good, too.

  • i want to kill myself

    this was not right!

from a musical standpoint it sounded just fine, great bluegrass version

but wtfh you dont do that to Zeppelin!!!!

i mean come on, what the fuck is this

you knoe deep down inside Plant hates this

He cant be a complete assretard

I just cant bring myself to think he actually likes doing this shit

  • i like it...very smooth....and they have such chemistry, which enhances the whole effect

  • boring....... way too boring.... plant is slowly but surely becoming the ultimate "has been". too bad.
