This is the Armed Forces Salute and National Anthem that the Prestonwood Baptist Choir and Orchestra do every 4th of July. It is always good to honor the men and women that serve in our Armed Forces but in light of the tragedy at Ft. Hood I wanted to put this up and share with everyone.

  • Thank you for your nice comment. I am sorry if the sequence offends you. We sing this as the composer arranged it. He probably was not a military person and probably arranged the song as to how it works best musically. Given all of that the main thing the choir and orchestra wish to express is our Thankfulness for the men and women that serve and sacrifice on our behalf.... God Bless!

  • Hello..The lyrics you mentioned were originally penned by Captain Francis S. Van Boskerck in 1927. It is my understanding the words were changed in 1969 to the modern version. The composer of this piece obviously decided to go with the modern version. That in no way minimizes what Captain Van Boskerck originally wrote. It is just that this is the version that Prestonwood chose to use for this service. If you are a veteran, regardless of the words I wish to express my Thanks to You!

  • OOORAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Glad you enjoyed it. If you are a member of the Armed Forces I say Thank You! for your service...God Bless!

I want to express my personal grattitude on the uploading of this patriotic and uplifting reflection of the American spirit. It is truly one of my favorite and 'feel good' uploads of any of the ' us armed forces medley ' versions available online.

    Thank you and God Bless.

  • @usapropertyrights You are most welcome. It is our choir and orchestra who are thankful for the sacrifices that our members of the armed forces make on our behalf. This is but a small token in comparison to what they do. May God Bless You Richly Today!

  • I do thank you for honoring our military not many people do but when I joined we were taught that version. Personally I don't know why they changed it around because I've heard the CG song sung so many ways it's hard to know which one is the real one! but thank you and your church God Bless each and everyone of you!!

  • I'm in the Coast Guard I believe I would know thank you
