GT5P S10 Mines Gold in 2 laps

Finally scored S10 Gold in 2 laps with the Mines Skyline. Lap 2 was 1'56.624 This is a Spec III run, so no "easy" starting lineup. Standard physics. You can find my tune on a couple of different forums.

Oh my god. You fuckin merked that shit! Haha. I typically use the Mines GTR and Tuned Z06 and S-10 has been such a pain. I guess tuning is like 75% of what it takes to have a fast lap time. 20% good driver, and 5% car, lol! Good job.

All 3 are important, but I'd put the tune last behind car selection and driving ability.

pro and simulation are the same. standard mode is the easy mode.

i've used your settings, but i don't understand one thing.

F: 3.734

this is the final thing with the gear setup. this brings down your top speed alot, and I get owned a lot with straight pieces.

Unless you're hitting the rev limiter in 6th gear the gears are not limiting your top speed. The AI cars in S7 and S10 are faster on the straight than you are. That's just how it is. I suggest using the draft to your advantage. You can change 6th gear or the final gear if you want. I don't think you'll be any faster on the straight.

nice job. i just did this for my friends save file but my fastest lap was 2:01. didn't mess with too many of the tuning things but we just wanted to get the F2007 lol.

its was not a pretty race...made a lot of mistakes and got two penalties, almost screwed up big time at the chicane on the last lap :p but I still managed to win :D I will post the video later...

i love this setup but i raced for 4 hour strate and i still cant beat it i got up to 4th then i was about to pass the 3rd place guy and then my car just got lose like crazy idk wht to do anymore i cant beat it

So today I tried your "tuned Z06" tune with standard physics and I was still having a hard time beating S10. I struggled for a 6th place. I changed the tuning a little bit, (everyone has a different style) and finally I came in 3rd. So I cleared all races in all classes, but only have gold in like 80% of all races. Jeez, wish me luck. Any track-specific tips would be greatly appreciated. My PS3 username is, mattwjoyner.
