  • That was one powerful Torquey bike!

  • Sounds sweet! ... sounds like a dream!

  • What would happen if you bored your Yamaha out to 700cc ? The 850 got slower as it had to pass emission tests and gained weight, the Mk1 850 was a flyer.

  • I have a 600cc yamaha Fz6r and it's the closest I've come to that Commando. There's still that sound from those pipes that is missing! British bikes had a certain character about them. the handling from that stiff frame made all the diffrerence. I think the 750 had more power and attitude than the 850. What do you think?

  • Is this a 750cc or 850cc?

  • My dad own a motorcyle shop in 1960 he said it was the quickest best handling bike ever and he rode alot of bikes

  • you are a very lucky man , these are the best english motorcycle ever.

  • Commando's still rock, thanks.

  • count to 120

  • Nice ride! I had a new Commando "Combat" c/w Dunstal 810cc bore kit in 1974. BTW:It almost killed me.Thanx.
