But Clark lied for a reason, to protect his friends. He didn't do it to be a bad friend, although it turns out he should've just told the truth in the first place. That doesn't make him an asshole. =\

hell yeah largoparker. truthfully, clark could have done that, but they wnated to make the finale with a big cliffhanger, to see Clark suffering as usuall or getting defeated.
