this is one of the best movies I've ever seen... I mean... wow... really...

I played dods for around a year and 3 months orsumthing now, but this is just making me feel sad that I never played this beta :(

Those were the days... Yet, I can enjoy DoD:S today aswell. Casually playing DoD on public servers is and has always been more or less deathmatch with a few objectives imho.

DoD-Source was utter shit, THE DoD BETA WAS A TOTALLY different game! CounterStrike stayed the same but DoD got fucked bigtime when switching engines...

It's like when people say they loved a "classic" like "Baldur's Gate" or "Battlefield 2," and then you have to explain to them that the PC version was 1000 times better than the PS2 crap-version they thought was so good...They'll just never understand...

literally entire weekends were lost to playing dod_omaha and dod_caen in the beta days :)

Oh man I loved the days anticipating the next releases, from the days of no recoil on weapons, semiauto german sniper rifles, to the introduction to MGs, and right before "retail" and then I stopped playing...all good things come to an end. But I wouldnt trade those memories for any thing.
