Houston Texas plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Vitenas discusses Vaginoplasty and labioplasty procedures on the Great Day Houston TV show. For more information visit our site at: http://www.drvitenas.com
About the Labiaplasti. Notice how they never say it's a health issue. All they say is that it's women that are insecure. So instead of refering them to a shrink they say "come on in and I'll tak a blade to your pussy" this is sick. Sick to the highest degree. If you walked into a doctors office and said "Gee Doc I just don't like how my foot looks I want you to cut it off." They'd look at you like you're crazy.
not to complain, but I find most of the people who bash this procedure are around 400 pounds, discolored, and plain creepy. Q.E.D. They're lost causes that want to drag everyone down with them.
Do you realize what they do to perform this plastic surgery. They CUT your vaginal lips. This does not increase sensation. In fact, you lose sensation. All it does is make your vagina look smaller. This is a disgusting procedure.
Female circumcision on the other hand, is designed to reduce female sexual pleasure in order to discourage adultery by the woman. It is to be abhorred, and has the opposite purpose to a vaginoplasty. A labioplasty is very common for women whose genitals are deformed either through birth defect, or abuse etc. It is not done to make a woman pretty for a man. Often women are so uncomfortable they cannot wear swimwear etc.
A vaginoplasty is not the same as genital mutilations and female circumcision. A vaginoplasty is basically for women whose vagina has become so stretched through childbirth that neither she nor her husband can enjoy sex. Some women can't even keep a tampon in. Sexual pleasure is a human right, and ought to be considered important. A vaginoplasty increases it.
It's not been SUDDEN for me. I am 53, first child at 20 tore me to pieces. My vagina never looked the same, and doesnt make ME feel as pretty as I was. I love my man. I have since I was 16, in fact. I want him to be happy, because that makes ME happy. If I pay for it, its no one's business. And btw, I'm an anthropologist. It is not genital mutilation by any means!

Vaginoplasties and labioplasties cannot thus be regarded as mutilations. They are therapeutic procedures, and help many women.
