I can't find the words to say how much this song makes you want to achieve something beautiful, the guitar sounds so everlasting, as if it were carried away on a road.
-
You could also add Bill Fay and Duncan Browne to the list of artists with a stylistic kinship to Nick Drake.

both interpretations are awesome in their own way...drakes is peaceful yet haunting and has a timeless quality to it, and franck's simmers with emotion, you can almost feel the pain and yearning in his voice...Drakes guitar playing edges it for me though...Wow!!!

He plays guitar and sings beautifully.

What a haunting version.

Ever heard songs of Jeff Buckleys father Tim Buckley? Also comparable to Nick Drake.

I tried to explain this feeling to someone recently, but I couldn't quite translate it properly. It's nice to know that others share this feeling when listening to Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley (etc.)...it's such a strange nostalgia. It can be quite beautiful.

Thank you for your thoughts! I get very happy realizing young people like Frank+s´lyrics. - He was such a good a singer/songwriter! Nowadays he´s getting his credits - not a day too soon!

i like more nick drakes version, cause the way he plays his guitar is nicer, and it sounds more old.
