The Altima is arguably the most important Nissan product of the last decade. If you go back a mere 10 years and look at Nissan circa 1996 you'll see a company struggling to survive in the North American market. The Z was about to die. The "premium" products coming out of Infiniti were lackluster at best, and nothing in Nissan's future portfolio indicated a turnaround was anywhere on the horizon.

  • 4 cylinder is good enough. It still has a sport suspension compare to malibu, camry, accord, and sonata

  • I might buy one of these soon. I currently own a 2006 Toyota Corolla that I bought new back in 2005. Good Car with no problems, but it's starting to feel a bit cramped ( I'm 6ft tall), so I need a bigger car like this with more legroom & power. I like the looks of it better than the Camry & Accord.

  • How cud u not love it

  • I do not like Auto myself, very fast with the 6 speed. But if you drive in the city a lot I suppose CVT is the way to go, won't even spill your coffee, no gears so it is extremely smooth. I wanted a 4 door sporty sedan and this car does the trick, no 6 speed available in the Camry, 4 door Accord, Mazda 6, Malibu. love my car no regrets.

  • And I recommend if you want a more spirited drive that you get the. 3.5se with sport suspension, teck package which includes bluetooth, nav etc.... I have black leather with a 6 speed manual, I do not like Auto myself, very fast with the 6 speed.

  • it is nice but i do not like the rear

  • Too bad when you sit in a Toyota, your mostly likley to ramp off a clif due to no brakes...

  • HMMM "Honda and Toyota rank the highest in quality and reliability."

Toyota? one word... RECALL. (and they've been sitting on this problem for years.)

...and Honda treats their employees like crap.

Neither company will ever get my money. But that's just an opinion.

P.S. Buick regularly ties with Lexus @ #1 for quality.

You need to do some reading.

  • Yea and Toyota has the most recalled car's since history! Not to mention their cars killed a family, and have injuried several, and left many scared to get back into their not knowing if the gas pedal is gonna get stuck.

  • Ok, sorry for the usage of the word "idiot". don't take it personal. but what do you mean "most pacific cars lack soul"? it's all a matter of perspective. as long as the car is of the highest quality( in terms of design, equipment and reliability) that's all it needs to matter.
