"Tell Me" by Dick & Dee Dee reached #17 on the US Billboard Pop Charts in 1961. A nice follow-up to the #2 Hit "The Mountain's High", making the duo a little more than a one-hit wonder. Rumor has it that only Dick St. John can be heard on the acoustically manipulated recordings. If the 45rpm record is played at 33rpm speed, the second vocal (assumed to be Dee Dee's) sounds like a male voice, identical to that of Dick St. John. Does anyone know more about this theory?
