3 FAILING TO DISPOSE OF NEEDLES IN A PUNCTURE PROOF CONTAINER

PREVENTION
1 DONT USE IVs. USE ORAL MEDICATION.
2 NEVER RESHEATH
3 PROTECT YOURSELF WITH VACCINATION
3 DONT STUFF SHARPS IN THE DISPOSAL BOX


THERE HAVE BEEN FATALITIES FROM NEEDLE STICK INJURIES SO TAKE IT SERIOUSLY

  • Lots of bad practice in this video, thanks for posting. where are your gloves? what possessed you to use the tee shirt to apply pressure to a puncture site? Why did you not try cannulation at the most distal site first? Too much risk to patient and staff sloppy technique zero infection control.
