This is my 2001 Impala. It has a 3.8 engine. 3800 series 2 if you want to get technical. I basically have
1.Stage 3 Intense CNC heads
2.Stage 3 Intense Turbo Cam
3.Intense-Racing Custom Dyno Tune
4.Hi-tech Pushrods By Compcams
5.High Flow Catted Downpipe
6.Powerlogs (ported exhaust manifolds)
7.Intense Polymounts (upper and lower)
8.TCS-4000 HD Torque Converter
9.3" Straight Piped Exhaust (no muffler, no resonator)
10.Cartuning Turbo kit.

Im currently making over 383 horses at the crank.
Took me a long long time to get to this point. Im about a quarter of the way, till ill be done with the modding.
it was originally making 200 Naturally Aspirated. I still got alot of tuning to do. And a intercooler, transmission to get :-D
Enjoy.

Yeahhh 43,000 views!!

Update: The car is no more... One of the valve springs broke which let a valve fall into the cylinder.... Made the piston come out the side of the motor..... It was fun while it lasted! Wish i could of made it the 500 whp beast i was looking for.... Time to move on to the GTO....

Thanks for all the comments!

  • Oh do I LUV SLEEPERS!!! That's awesome people thought this was a 3.4 XD This is what I wanted to do to my LeSabre dude! Awesome to see someone do it to an impala. One technical question though... What valve springs were you running? Were they a heafty set from Intense? I'm just really surprised you broke one... Sorry to see the car gone dude...

  • @blah1752 they were 130 springs. Go with the dual spring setup from intense.

  • So i have a 2001 impala as well and its a 3.8. My ABS and trac light is always on as well, any reason why. I fuck around and peal out alot. But how much did the turbo package cost?

  • @bott817 one of your wheel hubs is bad. 2800 it cost for the kit.

  • yo man im just wondering but how many kills or miles you got on it?

  • @kahnawake67 countless kills. Put about 30,000 miles on it before the spring let go and killed my motor.

  • @inuyasha5856 Its the 3.8 trust me, I just had the base model with the 3.8 installed. Yes they came with out the spoiler and fog lights with the 3.8

Thats why it was such a great sleeper, Everyone thought i had the 3.4 but i actually had the 3.8 Plus the 3.4 has the tan upper intake manifold, 3.8 as shown in the video above has the black high rise upper intake manifold.

  • nice sleeper, should be fun to pull up to some jackass in a mustang and leave his ass

  • @thefreakin77 3.8 is pretty much a bored out 3.4

  • whats the difference from a 3.4 and a 3.8?

  • @vitalssj how much does one cost? and could you send me a link to a site that sells them please. much appreciated.

  • @meatzy123 they have full blown kits that you can buy online. My upper intake and throttle body stayed the same.

  • @twizz420 imagine going 70 mph and having the tires spin like you were doing a burn out on the highway. The car had so much torque steer at 60 I had to have the steering wheel turned to the left. Lol Damn I miss her.

  • Too bad anything over 240hp in a FWD just makes the tires spin and the suspension hop. Not to mention the insane torque steer. I have a stock 2001 3.4L Impala and even THAT has insane torque steer if I punch it.

  • @vitalssj ur not gonna get it tuned? I always thought a rich tune robbed power
