Speaking to the faithful before the Angelus at Castel Gandolfo this Sunday, Pope Benedict XVI explained the significance of the Gospel passage, John Chapter 6 . He said Jesus sates our physical hunger, and prepares us to welcome the announcement of the Kingdom, that satisfies our spiritual hunger. Jesus, in revealing himself as the bread of heaven, testifies that He is the Word of God in person that guides and supports our existence. To doubt the divinity of Jesus, is to oppose God's work.
