Oslo Norway Bombing Massacre. A TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN

22.07.2011 a horrible attack hit Norway. Killing and injuring over 100 people. We will never forget you.

Anders Behring Breivik (32) has pleaded not guilty of the bomb attack in Oslo and the shootings at Utøya. Even though he acknowledge that he is behind the attacks.
The first reports of the massacre on Utøya, an island about south-east of Oslo, came around 18.25 Friday.

At least 92 killed in shootings and bomb blast in Norway

Nearly 700 young members of the Labour Party were on the island for an annual youth camp when Breivik opened fire and killed at least 85 people.

The death toll may still rise even more as rescue workers search the water around the island.

The shootings on Utøya came only hours after a bomb exploded outside a government building in central Oslo. The explosion killed at least seven people and further ten people were seriously injured in the blast

In the questioning late saturday Breivik acknowledged that he was behind the attacks but he has pleaded not guilty. Late Saturday, his self chosen lawyer Geir Lippestad said:

- He expressed that his actions were gruesome, but in his head they were necessary.

Premier: «You will not destroy us»

- We will find those responsible and hold them accountable, said the Norwegian Prime Minster Jens Stoltenberg at a press conference late Friday.

He also had a message to the man behind the attacks.

- You will not destroy us. You will not destroy our democracy or our ideals for a better world."

President Barack Obama and several other State leaders immediately condemned the attacks and said that they would help Norway if they needed any.

When I first heard about the bombing, I was scared, even though I live 3 hours away from Oslo. I could not help but think "Why Oslo? Why Norway? What if my sister had been there?(she lives there, but she sat next to me at home) Who can be so rotten to do this to little peaceful Norway?" and when we figured that it was a Norwegian that was behind this, I got really dissapointed. But now, after all of the speeches I've heard, from the Prime Minister and more, I say that Im proud that Im Norwegian!
