(reupload to fix a rendering error) By way of meagre tribute to the man who inspired me to find my voice as an atheist, I lend my own voice to his words, written when his own formidable voice was failing him.
From the Vanity Fair column: Until cancer attacked his vocal cords, the author didn't fully appreciate what was meant by "a writer's voice," or the essential link between speech and prose. As a man who loved to talk, he turns to the masters of such conversation, both in history and in his own circle.
Wonderful. Thank you for putting this up.

Health or should I say the loss of good health steals the self the who am I that if you are lucky you know the answer to. I knew who I was before my poor health I still need to find out who I am now and if I like that person.

As a man with cancer myself, sadly, I had to stop watching this video. Much love to the man, but for the moment, I'd rather pretend the tumor doesn't exist, until I am no longer able to do so, and simply hope this experimental new chemotherapy works better than the last one.
