Restoring sight to the blind? All in a days work for Mark Humayun. Dr. Huymayun has tackled the challenges of bioengineering in ophthalmology, through basic research to clinical applications to bring to life the artificial retina. Dr. Humayun is a professor of Ophthalmology, Biomedical Engineering, and Cell and Neurobiology at the Doheny Eye Institute, Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California.
