@ddrandguitar03 Don't you see that there is quite a major difference between you praying FOR me and you praying TO me? We are told repeatedly to pray for one another, but in our prayers we pray to the Father in the name of our only mediator the Son, Jesus Christ, I don't see any precedent of doing otherwise. Jesus presents Himself as the only one who can stand in the gap that we need between us and God (Job 9:33) we don't require an mediator to our mediator
@e7c7o7 you really don't have ANY grasp on the teachings of intercession. amen, you do at least grasp the truth that there is only ONE mediator between God and man. the intercessions of Mary, you, me, or ANYBODY else is not substituting the office of Mediator. intercession never puts the intercessor as the end goal of prayer; it simply gives its support in bringing it to God. if your false theology were the case, then NOONE should pray for anyone. do yourself a favor and actually research.
1 timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men—the testimony given in its proper time" I'm pretty sure this means we cant pray to mary. Surely we have to look at things from a biblical position, can u really, purely from Matt 16:18 u can suddenly get a papacy thru 2000 yrs. that is just illogical, and it aint even historical, no human being can have authority over Christ's own teachings
Too bad..That's what the "BIBLE ALONE" Theory gets you.. ;-) I will pray for you... See EWTN.com
