Correct - that is the ex-Foch, now Sao Paolo bought from France. The 'Charles de Gaulle', the only non-US nuclear-powered aicraft carrier in the world, has replaced it and it's sister ship, the Clemenceau.

No, they use a different arresting and catapult system than us. Even if we could have stopped them, we probably wouldn't have been able to get them back in the air.

No, they're not nukes. Kitty gets decom'd in about 2 years and the JFK won't be too far behind...getting too expensive to keep them running. Plus, the JFK is worthless, is has more broken parts than working parts.

I dont think the brazilian carrier is operational currently so these guys were probably trying to brush up on their skills

It was operational When I took the USS RONALD REAGAN around South America to San Diego. How do you think the A-4's got out to us?
