This is a decent adaptation, a lot of people struggle with the time sig. I wrote a remix once where I started from 3/4 and upped the time sig as I went on. It's not on youtube, tho.
The instrumentation... the bass and bass drum are okay. I like the woosh effect too. The rest are a bit weak. Don't get me wrong, I've heard much worse, but... I've also heard much better. The intro sounds terribly newby, the lead doesn't work there.
Kudos on tackling the Ridley theme, really not an easy one.
