  • As 'salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh , masha Allah , He has blessed your hand in the tradition of Zaid bin Thabit (رض) and all who have penned the words of the Qur'aan .

A question I have regarding when you use store bought markers or pen. Do you cut them an angle or alter and manipulate your grip to achieve the script ?

    Jazaakum allah

  • @romesimms

Thanks brother for your feelings and for your interest in that Islamic art.

The pen I 'm using is bought ready cut at an angle. It is from Manchester city centre(an Artshop)there.

I hope I could present calligraphy lessons in the near future. The lessons will be in English language.

  • assalamou alaikoum , i was just curious about knowing how long it took you to master this art and how you did it, meaning whether you had someone teaching you how to do so or you just learned by yourself
