Hurdman Transitway Stn: Bomb Scare

On July 24th, 2008 there was a bomb scare at Lycee Claudel Transitway Station in Ottawa, ON which resulted in the South Transitway to be closed from Hurdman (major transfer point) to Riverside Hospital. Lot's of routes and traffic were detoured, and took about several hours before Ottawa Police blew up the suspicious package. This bomb scare began around 1:00pm and ending at the beginning of P.M. Rush (buses started to deadhead to LeBreton/Hurdman/Hull to start their Trippers as seen in the video.

The suspicious package was not a bomb, but was however a geocache.

That's nothing compared to the fire I saw there today! There was a ton of smoke blowing right into Hurdman Station... the field on the south side, it looked like the whole field was on fire! It will surely be on Youtube soon, and the news too no doubt.
