My boys (7 and 15) turned me onto this way of building yesterday. Doing my research now. They would like to build our next chicken coop this way. I will have to read a TON is there any books or sites you can turn me onto for info? I LOVE the cabin. LOVE it! If we do an addition to our post and beam home, we will go this way for sure!!!!

...god, it ain't just nice at all, it's gorgeous.....i've been thinking of building one as well, but i noticed something i would like to know....how deep is the foundation? i assume you are in new york as i am....it don't look like 4 ft. to me.....
