Arthur Benjamin's Jamaican Rhumba, arranged for piano duet by Dr. Walden Hughes, performed by Jenna Hagemeier and Lindsey Rohner Thanksgiving evening 2004. Piano Ensemble Scores: http://people.nnu.edu/wdhughes
This piece was frequently aired in the 1950s. The duettists were Rawicz & Landauer. Affectionately known as Rabbits 'n' Lawnmower. Would love to hear their version again.
This has lyrics "My brother did - tell me that you go mango walk and steal all the number 'leven" although nowhere on the net seems to connect the composer Arthur Benjamin with the words, and I also see it listed as traditional - just wonder if anyone knows any more?

I've played this song in my mind for decades. I tried to find it by Copland, Gershwin, Gould....
And yesterday!! WDPR in Dayton, OH ended my fruitless quest. This station streams 100% pure classical 24 hrs/day. Logon. Matt Kabrisky
