  • Actually I just sold my wrx and bought a 08 Tacoma and a crx. Damn crx is almost as fast as my wrx

  • @BurtonDude05

no it wont. and besides, youre buying a crx, you dont have any money.

  • @wrb2002bugeye im just saying take the same amount of money that you purchased the wrx with plus the 3 grand you put into it. put the same amount into purchasing and building the crx, and the crx will be wayyyy faster dude.

idk why your comparing the vtec and turbo. when the crx can have both, and poop all over your wrx

  • @DOHCEJ22E1 cant agree with you more there thats what subarus r best at

  • The S2K would make short work of my car on a dry road because of its longer gearing, higher top-end bhp, & lighter weight not to mention it's a 5 speed where mine is a 4 speed auto with a 4.44fgr. However, I'd run circles around him in the snow. Once again, apples vs oranges :)

And since the previous owner did not care for it well, the 25D blew a rod bearing as will all engines due to extreme lack of maintenance. The block is being removed & the heads will be bolted onto an EJ222.

  • @DOHCEJ22E1 either way it still doesnt help it beat an s2k there trq maybe laughable but they still get the job done...u deffinatley seem to kno ur stuff about subaru no doubt about that ur gt still may have more trq but an s2000 would make quick work of it oh and i saw ur videos of ur gt it doesnt sound 2 healthy

  • You're comparing oranges & apples. The S2K runs with high compression & VTEC while the Subaru uses low-compression & turbocharging. Both achieve their power levels using different methods. A normal STi has TQ nearly all over the RPM range while an S2K only has TQ at the top of it's powerband, which does not make for a street worthy car. Though the S2K's engines are some of the best 4 cylinders ever built, the TQ it puts out is laughable. My GT puts out more TQ at about 3K rpms lower.

  • @DOHCEJ22E1 ive been in a stock wrx and ive also been in a built sti tht puts down just about 500whp ..im not gonna lie it was fast and i respect subaru for that but i expect a turbo car to be fast but getting beat by a N/A car is not anything subuaru should be proud of i realize the s2k is lighter but the baru has the turbo to compinsate for that "Turbo isnt all that considering most of subarus engines need a turbo to go somewheres" the sti is helpless without a turbo

  • Bone stock, an S2K has a higher top end speed due to transmission gearing & lighter weight. That's all. WHP put down on a dyno is very similar. And Subaru's engines are far from "garbage".

All motor isn't all that when you take into consideration that the S2K's engine has to be at peak revs to get anything out of it.

You wouldn't think any STi is "slow" if you sat in one & got thrown around some corners, snow, or mud. And STi's gain more power from mods that an S2K does because it's turbo.

  • i have a turbo crx, and this video seems about right for a slighty built crx.
