While I am proud of the uncompromising independent spirit of our people, neither you nor I can deny that the region of Bangladesh was politically a part of pre-1971 Pakistan. Pakistanis of Bengali ethnicity were the majority in united Pakistan.

@sonny316 It is because Mr. Quamrul Islam was the then Major Zia's 2IC. Mr. Islam then fled and joined the Bangladesh Liberation Force (BLF).

rather than worrying about the 1971 war criminals...i think there are far more important things to worry about...the poverty, the hunger, the political instability, that corruption and the lying leaders who have sold us lies of deceit are what we should be fighting and focusing on!
Warrior2125 4 years ago
Yes, correct. There are other important things to worry about. So we should think about this "along with" the other important things. We had ignored this for a long time. And perhaps that is one of the reasons why today we ended up with so many corrupted leaders who only give lip service and worry about their own bank balance.

Yes, we must do somehing. There are some ground work being done by the Sector Commander's Forum in Bangladesh. We are supporting them from North America by raising awareness and funds. Consider my little effort as a part of that initiative. We need to keep the spirit of liberation alive in our minds. The more we talk about it, the more awareness it will create. You couldn't believe how powerful couple of keystrokes can be! So use them wisely and spread the words, "Juddho ekhono cholsey".
