Samy Kamkar BlackHat - Samy Kamkar, in an incredibly interesting session at Black Hat titled "How I Met Your Girlfriend," highlighted new types attacks executed from the Web. An interesting hack he demonstrated, was the ability to extract extremely accurate geo-location information from a Web browser, while not using any IP geo-location data.

  • What happens if I make my browser save my router password? It is a bad thing right? Will XSS able to use the saved password or cookies?

  • Please people, change your router's default password to something more difficult to hack.

  • And the solution is, of course, using a browser that has proper "third" party site access control (in this case, the third party is your router).
