  • are you mentaly retarded?? the whole point of the miata is lightness, weight kills cars, so why not try to make it as light as possible. and thats the reason the miata is one of the best handling cars in the world, they havent added hp and weight like all other cars, they've kept it simple, the miata is just a fun, simple, cheap, great little car.

  • bmw should just scrap the M1..and focus on the cooler M1

  • come on!! a modern day M1.... that would be awesome. use the M6 chassy as a base and put the V-10 where it always should have been, in the middle! aim for the R8 V-10, + a little more. perhaps a bored or stroked version like the M divisions 5.5 V-10 or the sledge hammer 5.7 ya that's rite a 350ci. I would love to say my M5 or M6 has a 350 in it:) lol hot rodders would be so confused.

  • Howzabout a Superlight MX5 with Rotary.

  • she was kidnapped... yup

  • What happened to the old Fast Lane daily host, gisela or whatever her name was?

  • Also, Grassroots Motorsports Magazine just awarded the Mazda Miata first place in the top 25 best cars in grassroots racing history. No Jetta, No Cobalt SS, sorry. But the RX-7 was in the top 5 I think. They're light, fast, balanced, agile, reliable, and cheap to work on. But I wouldn't expect a boy racer like you to understand anything about real racing.

  • Congrats on Commenter of the Week btw. Derek answered you mostly, but let me help you understand, the Miata is supposed to be small and light for balanced handling and decent speed with a small engine. They're track cars. Ever heard of Spec Miata? Don't worry about the '09's, worry about the old ones with big turbos. Good luck beating one of those in your heavy ass Jetta. BTW, Jettas are girls cars more than a Miata.

  • i have a great idea for a 5 year plan for chrysler. make quality cars!

  • I hope Audi recalls the sorry CVT transmission soon.
