"In 1995 Jenny Friedman made a video with the assistance of the Little City Visual Arts department in Palatine, Illinois. There was no script, they simply asked Jenny questions and let her go. While the video purports to show Jenny demonstrating how to make matzo balls, and she says the traditional prayers over wine and candles, in the background Jenny tells of her hopes and dreams for the future. She wants what we all want, a Kosher home, a proper home [which astute viewers will recognize as lyrics from "Fiddler on the Roof"]. Little City submitted the video in a contest sponsored by CITV Chicago Instructional TV foundation, which was open to all high school students in the greater Chicago area, disabled and non alike. Lo and behold, out of tens of thousands of entries, Jenny's video won third prize of cash and a beautiful trophy. The other winning video's were about going somewhere, like a trip to the firehouse; but Jenny's video was about her hopes and dreams for the future."

Enjoy as you watch Jenny's award winning video.

  • Me too! I watched this and then told

my sisters to view it. Very moving.

  • Dear Jenny's Dad,

What an amazing father you must have

    been to Jenny.

  • What a beautiful woman Jenny is! She is

a lady to be admired. I shared this video

with many friends. Thank you for making this available!

  • Wow. I love that outfit!

  • Frost, you have me convinced. You are clearly so much more tolerant than that "pool of kike slobber," and you are just a better person that I could not dream to compete with.

  • The word you may have been trying to type might be "people". It is another way of saying human beings. Your unfortunate comment I consider both cruel and rude. I watch this sweet innocent young woman and say "How wonderful love and compassion are" and feel a warm wonderful glow knowing that she will inspire others. May she be blessed and have a Happy and Kosher Passover!

  • I thought that was awesome.

  • Thank you! I will!
