I have a heavy truck license (CDL) Truck drivers get a lot of training in the importance of safety and the dangers of their trucks to the average car. Truck drivers are just people. Most do well, some are dicks, like people on any job. The drivers I have known take their job very seriously. They go to prison if they kill someone through negligence. That's plenty of incentive to do the right thing usually.
