  • i have seen footage of a charbonneau

cross check to neely's face , which caused

    considerable leakage and many stitches

not guaranteeing these events in sequence, but neely played hard

the blood coulda just as easily been a blocked shot, etc

i dont think corson leaked him, he just opened up something already there

    just IMO

  • show some respect people. you just saw two of the tougher guys in the NHL go at it. too bad that swede ulf took out Neely's knee. he might still be playing today. and Shane Corson is a guy you wish your home team drafted.

  • Neely was hit with a puck earlier in the game. Then he comes out and goes at it with corson, that's why he's a legend.

  • @ScottC2511 "wherever"??? Your understanding is wrong. For decades, Montreal had exclusive rights to the top French-Canadian juniors in Quebec. No other NHL club had similar territorial rights.

  • @i2216yy0 Ummm...Neely landed more punches than Corson, what are you talking about?

  • @hockeybooks You are right, Neely wasn't bleeding because of a Corson punch alone.

  • Who was this idot reporter, sounds like high school. O.K. so you are sleeping with the guy, but can you at least admit he's getting his ass kicked!!!

  • habs need a corson in the line up...met him a few times he is an awesome guy

  • Neely and Corson had direct opposite types of careers. When Corson first came up he looked like he was going to be a solid 30-40 goal scorer a year but as the years passed he became more a middle of the road player. When Neeley first came up with Vancouver he looked like he was going to be a bust, but the Bruins traded for him and he became one of the NHL's best players of his age. Both could mix it up also.

  • As a Hab fan, I liked and respected Neely...one tough SOB.

  • Shows how long we've been owning you. Common Cam a rookie?

  • @ScottC2511 Not true. I really don't give a damn, so topic = closed

  • @sparwood8 Tilted playing field how. My understanding is that each of the original six had exclusive first rights over hockey players from the different Canadian provinces, ie Montreal had Qeubec, Toronto had Ontario, NYR had wherever as did Detroit Chicago etc. So each of the six teams had an exclusive 1st choice on players from their allocated province, so how is that an advantage for Montreal, given that Francophones only make up 22% of the population?
