I first saw that word "Gedou" in the game Majin Tensei II. It doesn't necessarily mean "devil"; more along the lines of "degenerate".

yay, thanks again.
especially for the translation, although i can understand most of it without (thanks to the voice actors).
i've got only a little bit problems with kanji, so that the protagonists thoughts and phrases are not always completely clear to me^^
