I went hunting the other night with a friend who is very experienced. I have never been before. He was very successful hunting.
We set up some targets at 150 yards, i nailed 6/6 shots all in the kill zone. So, as night fell we used a scope mounted light using 17 hmr. I saw a rabbit's eyes glow as i scanned the area, it stared right at me, i lined up the shot, took my breath and hit the trigger...the damn SAFETY was on!!! lawls.
My epic moment of failure, but i bloody loved it.

@TheCoonHunter01 this is true, and a good ol rabbit stew never hurts either lol. one thing i have noticed about the UK and ireland is that they have a much higher abundantcy of small game animals than we have here in the states, makes me a little jealous on the off season lol anyway great shooting and compilation you put together :o)
i've got a .22lr and a 17hmr on my license but only have a .22, is it worth getting a 17 aswell, they look like they make a mess at anything close in.

@Airgunhunter2010 for the extra damage and accuracy I'd say get one. I really only use my 17 for foxes now and think they are a perfect calibre for the job. Only downside is ammo prices, so rabbit shooting can get a little expensive
