Your comments about Gilmour's playing just show that you don't play guitar, I have professionally for 30 years and the man is a master. There is far more to guitar playing than playing fast, he has a unique sound and style, he is unmistakeable and that is what, in the main gives, Floyd their identity.

Yes man, Gilmour´s guitar is top five rock-guitars ever. Its my opinion, i can believe people dont think the same, but i could not believe anyone say Gilmour is not a guitar master.

Once, Gilmour said his favourite music genre was blues. But he couldn´t be on a blues band because he listened to Clapton and he knew he was so much better than him. I never said this or that were the best guitar player I only said Gilmour wasn´t.And I stand corrected. To Me, he isn´t the best guitar player by any genre. Still, Pink Floyd is my fav band of all time lol I bought all their records (except division bell).I think he is very melodic but even on that "type" there are better.

Mellow out and enjoy, there is no best, just some better than others, even genre makes a difference! He is best in his style, for certain, but others are better in their own genre, too! Relax, listen to the music!
