The words in this beautiful poem by Mother Teresa mirrors her lifelong devotion to God's calling on her own life.
By the age of 18 she left her family to became a missionary. She said that, as a young nun, she heard the voice of God only one time when he told her to open a mission in Calcutta, India. "Sister" Teresa somehow found the financial support to do just that and she then devoted the next 45 years of her life to serve the poorest of the poor.
She and her fellow Sisters came to the aid of the sick, dying and unloved. Her spirit of prayer and love for God was administered to each person with their dignity always in mind regardless of their religion or nationality.
It is no wonder that Mother Teresa's writings have revealed that she struggled with her faith during those years. She was constantly searching for the needed funds to attend to people who were completely alone in this big world, people who had nothing and needed everything.
As we look at the words in this poem, it is obvious that she overcame her struggle with her faith and heeded the voice that spoke to her as a young woman. It is also obvious why this Nobel Peace Prize winner is also on her way to Sainthood, the highest acknowledgment that can be given to someone of her background.
May more of us follow her lead.
Thank you for creating this video of such an Amazing Woman and agree, may I follow her lead...

If you wrote a beautiful poem that is inspirational but resembled the poem of another...write them anyway. In the final analysis it is how you inspired another to do something good for God.

I`m sorry I think this is not a poem by Mother Theresa but these are The Paradoxical Commandments by Dr. Kent M. Keith – paradoxicalcommandments com
And this poem is written on the wall of her child center. She took the words, made some little changes and popularized them.
