I have a similar boat, its a 1542, how high off the water is the top of your transom with that motor? I'm looking at getting the same one, just wondering if I'll need to get float pods or not as right now with just me and the trolling motor I've got 9 inches above the water line of transom left.

Looks like it moves along really well. I just purchased this same engine today for my 14ft. sea nymph semi-v rowboat. Can't wait to test it out, my old trusty Johnson 9.9 finally saw its better days, but it was a great motor for years. The dealer I bought the 9.9 Gamefisher from is installing a new impellar, and a full tune-up, and new tank and line for me before I pick it up next week. I hope it serves me as well as my old OMC. Have fun.
how fast does it go?

@boatbros23 Thanks! It's nothing fancy, but it puts a smile on my face and gets me to the fish.
