A fascinating story of intercultural exchange and influence with real lived effects. Certainly, a testament to the intersections between Alaskan and Russian history, and Russian Orthodox relgion, embodied by the action and words of real human beings.

Very interesting glimpse into Russian and Alaskan history. It is only through the humanity of people like Father Herman that the brutality and the suffering of the native people was somewhat alleviated. Thank you for making this informative movie.
