For a rain or shine event, this show was cut off during MM because of severe lightning and got delayed for a good half hour until R.E.M took the stage.

A huge lightning bolt hit the tallest part of the theater, so after MM finished this song, they announced the rain delay.
at around 0:38, look at the blue stage light on the left moving over the crowd; you can see exactly how hard it was raining.
damn jones beach venue doesn't have a roof!

I was about 15 feet away on the very top row of the stadium when the lightening hit, it really was the scariest shit ever, and we didn't think the show would go on, so we left and missed R.E.M!!!

This was one of the greatest nights of my life, the bands made up for the torrential downpours, they were really cool about it.
