  • The locomotive is a narrow gauge that is 1:20.3 scale

  • Have you had any problems with the new Mallet?

  • With just over 30 hours of run time there are no major problems to report. Within the first few hours of operation two of the crank pin hex head bolts had started to loosen. These were tightened and have stayed tight since. A RCS PnP RC system was installed this past weekend. It was an easy instal in the Bachmann socket. The locomotive is a smooth runner and pulls well.

  • what scale?

  • Nice thing!! But the house in the back ground looks a bit out of scale!!

  • Nice Vid!! Though your sound seems to be off a bit. I counted 3 chuffs per wheel revolution instead of the protypical 4 chuffs. Other than that this was great, and LOVE that whistle!!! Shame it doesn't come with the On30 version.

  • Another 5 star

  • Great loco. Nice sound.

At the Pacific Locomotive Society here in California, we have a Baldwin logging mallet (the Clover Valley Lumber Co. #4) currently in restoration. It looks practically the same (only it's in standard gauge).

  • That's great. I might buy one and a K-27.
