There is a huge difference, not to be rude or anything. Final Cut Pro is a professional editing software...to put it mildly. iMovie is a simple press one button and it makes a movie for you. Hollywood films are made using Final Cut Pro.

I have a Mac and it's never crashed. As for you trash talking FCP - I guess David Fincher should have been notified before he edited Zodiac on it. Or Anthony Minghella when he cut Cold Mountain on it? Or Zack Snyder when he had 300 cut on it. Or the MANY MANY other professionals cutting high budget movies on the system. Please know what you're talking about when you post.

I've got a suggestion!!!!
if you know a way to export full 1080i HD video using Export>Quicktime Conversion....it seems I may loose a little something there.....Compressor is fabulous, but I only use that to export an entire project, not single clips.
