I played the Screaming Man. Sam Shepard wrote the ranting speech but I threw in a couple of lines of my own. It was filmed on the bridge over Interstate 5 in San Fernando, California. We completed the scene in 2 takes at dawn in December 1983. It was a pleasure working with Harry Dean Stanton and Wim Wenders.
