Everybody Has A Place (From the MatM album Modern Lullaby 1992)
Almost everyone growing up in the developed world in the late 20th century has seen one or more personal landmarks of their lives destroyed, often only to be replaced by the hideous and soulless sprawl of malls, office blocks and expressways.
Everybody Has A Place was inspired by the devastating changes brought about by post-war development on North American urban and rural landscapes in general and around Marthas and Marks hometown of Toronto in particular. Using specific images from their own lost landscapes, Martha and Mark share a part of the common experience this song commemorates.

How exciting to discover new material from a band I loved nearly 30 years ago! They kept getting better and evolving. They don't make music like this anymore.
